Best Cruelty Free Cleansing Balms

One beauty rule I will forever abide by is washing off my makeup before bed.
Not only is it gross but leaving your makeup on while you sleep will clog and congest your pores and you will potentially end up breaking out.

As part of my skincare routine, especially when I have been wearing a full face of makeup, I reach for a cleansing balm. Cleansing balms are a hard working skincare product that melt and breakdown the product, including stubborn and hard to remove mascaras, so you can easily wash it off. After I have used a Cleansing Balm I then go in with my favourite gel or cream cleanser to remove any excess dirt, grime or makeup.

Below are a few of my favourite tried and tested Cruelty Free Cleansing Balms:

Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm - $65AUD
This is a beautiful balm-to-oil cleanser which melts makeup away.
Formulated with Australian Wild Orange Leaf Extract, Sandalwood Seed Oil and Grapeseed Oil this cruelty free cleansing balm leaves skin hydrated, soft and radiant – never stripped, tight or dry.
I use two small scoops to remove my makeup, including my mascara which can usually be quite stubborn to remove, and I then go in with a damp cloth to wipe away the residue.

Ere Perez Fig All-Beauty Jelly - $45AUD
This multi-tasking queen is a must in your skincare routine!
The Ere Perez All-Beauty Jelly is kind of a ‘fig’ deal and can be used 5 different ways:

1. Makeup Remover: melts and dissolves makeup, even the most stubborn mascara.
2. Cleanser: mix with water to create a milky consistency and then use it to cleanse the skin and remove dirt and grime.
3. Lip Mask: apply a generous amount for soft smooth lips.
4. Face Mask / Massage: apply a thin layer over the face to hydrate and then massage to improve blood flow.
5. Slugging: for a more intensive treatment apply a thick layer over the skin before bed and wake up supply skin.

Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm - $48AUD
The Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm smells amazing and is almost good enough to eat!
This cruelty free cleansing balm effortlessly dissolves dirt, oil and removes the most stubborn of makeup in seconds.
Papaya Enzymes gently exfoliate to dissolve and remove dead skin cells while Papaya Extract and Seed Oil rich in fatty acids keep the skin soft and hydrated.

The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm - $17AUD
This is a rich and nourishing cleansing balm that melts away makeup and impurities without drying the skin.
I love that this cleansing balm comes in a convenient tube so I can melt the day away while I shower, saving water and time!
Formulated with beneficial ingredients such as Colloidal Oatmeal and Oat Kernel Oil, a rich, natural Oat Oil which hydrates and moisturises the skin and effectively removes SPF, this cleansing balm dissolves stubborn dirt and grime while
supporting the skin’s natural protective barrier, soothing irritated skin and reducing redness.
