It blows my mind that in 2023 we still have to advocate against testing on animals, especially in the beauty industry.
Globally over 100 million animals are used for animal testing each year and the majority of these animals will be killed. These animals aren’t just rodents either (not that it should matter). Did you know beagles, yes the cute dogs, are used for cosmetic testing? These animals are tortured in laboratories with formulas being applied to their skin and eyes causing irritation, chemical burns and blindness. If you’re an animal lover like me this will not sit well with you.
While some brands have made the switch to Cruelty Free, and are even Peta and Leaping Bunny certified, we still have a long way to go.
So what can you do to help?
By switching to Cruelty Free brands you are voting with your dollar and we are letting the big guys know that we will no longer tolerate animal testing.
I know it can feel overwhelming to start the process but I have done it and I promise it isn’t as hard as you might think!
As your Cruelty Free BFF, I am here to make the switch easy starting with a 5 Day Cruelty Free Challenge (details below).
There is no better way to start the new year than with a habit that will not only benefit you but millions of innocent animals around the world.
